Supporting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital

Not only is Maximus Building Supply committed to serving our customers, but we are also committed to giving back to the local community. Faith and community service are values that have been bedrocks of the company since we were founded and continue to matter today.

Maximus Building Supply supports St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital to realize the dream that “no child should die in the dawn of life.” The hospital and Team Carson Elizabeth are near and dear to the hearts of everyone at Maximus. Carson’s family, founded the marathon team in memory of Carson, who was diagnosed with osteosarcoma the day before her eighth birthday and lost her battle far too young at nine years and three months.

For the past 13 years, Maximus has donated materials for the St. Jude Dream Home. In 2022, our donation was the largest trade partner in-kind gift of materials in the history of the Memphis market for the St. Jude Dream Home® Giveaway which has been around for 31 years and is in 46 cities across the U.S.

To further our commitment and support of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, in September 2022, in honor of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, we created a custom house wrap featuring St. Jude and Team Carson Elizabeth. We sold 358 rolls of house wrap in the month of September. For each house wrap sold, we donated 100% of the sales along with additional donations from the salesmen and matching donations by Richard Cooper, Michael Head and Steve Martin. The total donated was $50,000. We did it again in 2023, and sold close to 400 rolls and donated another $50,000!

Framing the 2023 St. Jude Dream Home in 25 Hours

For the past 25 years, local companies have teamed up in the Memphis community to build the St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway House. In 2023, in honor of the 25th anniversary, Southern Serenity Homes and Maximus Building Supply took on the challenge to frame the entire house in only 25 hours, over a three day period. After 25 grueling hours of intense work, the crew succeeded in their goal of completely framing, cornice and siding the entire 3,400 square foot home.

Thanks to the generosity of these companies: Southern Serenity Homes, Maximus Building Supply, Steve Judd Framing and Eagles Nest Construction. Check out our video of their work.
